Hello, i've installed xbmcbuntu on my new htpc and i am not able to get any audio.

Is there anyone that could help me to sort out the right settings under alsamixer and settings in xbmc?

Best regards.

Same problem here. Also tried OpenELEC but no difference. Did you find a solution?

Finally got it to work with OpenELEC and "Defaults (ALSA)" setting by copying Configfiles\asound.conf.sample\asound.conf_fusion.sample to Configfiles\asound.conf, editing and removing a hash mark. (Configfiles is the OpenELEC Samba share of ~/.config). Command line tool "speakertest" also proved helpful to generate sound.

Next problem: how to avoid using Defaults (ALSA) so that I can switch between Analog and Digital Sound from XBMC...
