XBMCbuntu (11.0) updating to Nightly Build
#1
Hey Guys,
sorry if this was asked before, but i couldnt find a good answer.
I'll keep it short Wink

My config:
- XBMCbuntu (11.0 Eden)
- Custom HTPC (Asus AT3IONT-I, 64GB SSD, 4GB RAM)

I would like to update my XBMCbuntu to the last nightly build to take advatage of the new hd audio functions. (And updated Confluenc skin - love that skin)
Is there a chance to do so, without reinstalling the whole system?

Thanks.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nathan-renniewaldock/xbmc-nightly
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install xbmc

Remember it is a nightly though and may have adverse effects.

Use at your own risk (I've just updated the same way).

I've not gotten that build to work yet due to its inclusion of pulse audio. It fails every time I try to launch it on multiple platforms. If it works for you, great. Compilation from source isn't that difficult.

Well, I can say I've had no sound issues at all this time setting up on both my Acer R3700's. Smile

--EDIT
Found a flaw with my setup now though.
Looks like the MySQL database versions are changing a bit too much lately. Sad
