Bug Windows: Video play causes black freeze
#1
Hi,

I've encountered this bug twice now.

Playing any video starts audio but the screen goes black. The video processing activity symbol in the lower right also freezes. If I have debug display turned on that freezes too.

This is a Win 7 box so Ctrl-Alt-Del to terminate the application (listed as "Not Responding") is the only way. An XBMC**32 process still remains and takes repeat efforts to kill. Not killing this process means XBMC will not restart.

I didn't report this yesterday because it somehow recovered. *confused*.

Anyway, xbmc log pasted here:

Any help appreciated.

(Edit to add: after playing around t o see if it's limited to just one video type it went away. Again. Aaargh.)

This is an ongoing crippling issue. I'll punt it over to the official bug tracker.

I am facing a similar issue. Everytime i try to play a video, XBMC freezes and i have to alt+f4, and then end process in task manager.
Happened to me yesterday too, i had to delete userdata folder to make it work but the issue is back today.
