Addon for installing 3rd party repo
#1
Do you think that an addon, registered in official repository, and offering the possibility to download and install third party repositories is a good idea ?

With this kind of addon, no need to download ZIP from browser. It's great for mimimalist linux distributions like OpenELEC.

I have already make a little addon based on a XML file stored in Google code :

When clicking on a repository, ZIP file is downloaded and extracted. You just have to reboot XBMC and repository is available.

@ XBMC team : this kind of addon will be allowed to be uploaded to official repository ?
Sorry for my english, but, you know, I'm French so ...

Main HTPC : Odroid-C2 running CoreELEC with Titan Bingie
Secondary HTPC : Freebox Mini 4K running Android TV with Titan Bingie

you can call the the UpdateLocalAddons builtin to avoid the silly need to restart xbmc.

i don't think we want this in the official repo. it would make it too simple and it will appear to be officially embrazed.

OK.

Thank for the tip.

I will ask to OpenELEC developpers.
