Hi guys,

I am trying to install Crystalbuntu on my Apple TV 1.
I got an AppleTV 1 with a Broadcom Crystal HD installed.
IOS version is 3.0.2 AV setting is RGB HIGH.
I followed the WIKI instructions, I had the USB Drive for the installation with dual booting but it does not work.
I stick the USB drive into the apple TV 1 then after the reboot it starts to install Crystalbuntu but after a while the process ends with an error.
I got the following on the screen:

n: Running /scripts/init-bottom
.
t: Mounting /proc on /root/proc failed: no such file or directory
et filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init

Box vl.1.3 (Debian 1:1.1.3-5 ubuntu12)
Built-in shell (ash)
r 'help' for a list of built-in commands

Can anyone help with this?

Crystalbuntu ist a sisterproject for appleTV1 and not compatible to XBMCbuntu

The USB-Stick installed the eden build 11.0 with pvr. I think it's not possible to use the nightlies ---> http://forum.stmlabs.com/showthread.php?...ight=build

If you're using Sam's Crystalbuntu installation, he controls the updating via a startup script. Right now, you're pretty much stuck at 11.0 unless you want to check with Sam to see how he compiles the Crystalbuntu build. You can't just update to nightlies.

He's currently working on, along with Raspbmc, a new Crystalbuntu 2.0 build that he said should be out sometime this summer.

I believe being able to install nightlies and custom builds of XBMC is a planned feature (or at least, better support) for Crystalbuntu 2.0. In theory, a compiled version for Ubuntu Hardy should work, but I have not tried this myself.
