XBMC remote control interferes with VLC, any workaround?
#1
I have 11.0 Eden and when I set "allow start of XBMC using remote" on, it prevents the remote working with VLC at any time, whether XBMC is on or off. I have tried turning that off, and confirmed VLC works properly with the remote.

Is there any workaround for allowing remote to start XBMC AND allowing to work properly with VLC? Seems that technically, XBMCHelper should be able to pass off any button presses (except MENU) if XBMC is not ON.

This will only happen if you have "Allow start of XBMC with Apple remote" enabled in Settings/System/Input devices (wiki). If you disable it, then XBMChelper will quit with XBMC.

(see my post). I tried it both ways, and know this. I asked the question..... is there any workaround?
