Somehow I can't download the artist scraper from kodi's repo.

I've added info for several albums to theaudiodb, the info is there when I look it up later, but the scraper is not finding the info...for example, using 15.2. I click on 'Album Information', refresh, dialog box pops up for artist and album names, add them (the same as used on web site), but it just keeps requesting the same info over and over (asks for artist/album names) until I force a halt when the message about downloading info failed pops up. I have tried this for several albums. Universal scraper works, but I want the info about the albums that I put into the DB (stuff like musician credits etc)! Any ideas?

Are you confusing this with the Music Video scraper which has just been marked as broken maybe? Smile

I'm having trouble getting anything for Marina & the Diamonds or Marina and The Diamonds.

The API, theaudiodb.com and fanart.tv all bring back positive results. Yet the scraper in Kodi doesn't bring anything back.

Anybody got any ideas, please?

Thanks

Yep overloaded sometimes, that kind of comes with the territory of serving 15 million requests a day Wink

Wow...15 million huh?. I must say that I've only seen it go down only once before so you do a great job of maintaining.

The parsing of this scraper done't seem to be working at the moment, log shows

scraper: GetAlbumSearchResults returned <results></results>

for every attempt. I'll do some more investigation, but is there a know reason?

No, seems like no one is using this scraper... Smile
Hopefully fixed in v1.2.1

Thanks @olympia. I tested v1.2.1, and it does correctly parse some more albums, but still lots that are in TADB but GetAlbumSearchResults returns <results></results>

For example
http://www.theaudiodb.com/api/v1/json/58...0of%20Eden
or
http://www.theaudiodb.com/api/v1/json/58...No%20Angel

Perhaps you can see what is happening, I did have a quick look but the regexp defeats me. Not not to worry if not, as you are right it does seem like no one is using this.
