Did you check and reconfigure your audio settings in settings->system->audio? This is needed because of the new audio engine.

I have tried the different settings (HDMI, analog, digital) but it doesn't change anything.

Maybe the sound is muted? Try hitting 'F8' or '+' key if that changes anything.

Check the Audio output device at the bottom of the Audio output settings.

I tried a very old french saying that states : "Dans le doute, reboot" which could be translated (without the fabulous rhyme) by : "When in doubt, reboot"
And magically, the devices list has been updated and now it works !
