Win Starting XBMC via task scheduler causes crash
#1
Hey everyone

I want to be able to start XBMC remotely (Via my android phone) and i have a program that will allow me to run scheduled tasks. As such, ive tried to create a task in windows task scheduler which simply starts the XBMC executable, but whenever i try to run it, it doesn't start. Event viewer shows that it crashed trying to open it, but if i double click xbmc.exe as normal, it runs and works fine. Anyone know why this might be happening? I am running it in windows 7 compat. mode, but have tried all the other modes anyway and get the same problem.
Here is the event viewer log, i appreciate any help people can give on this

Hi !

Did you tried Remote Launcher?

https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...rch_result

It seems to be a clear solution over your problem.
Tried it with XBMC 11 whitout any problem.

See if this can help you!
