Resume from sleep black screen catalyst drivers (hd6450)
#1
Really need some help here...

Is resume from standy working at all with AMD cards (fglrx)...When I resume the pc starts but the screen remains black and I have no ethernet. I need to reboot. I'm on 12.04 (also tried 12.10) and tried most of the catalyst drivers from (12.6, 12.09, 12.10, 12.11b), I am now on 12.10 from the AMD website

What it is odd is that it occasionally works - sometimes it comes out of sleep and the display goes on...

I'm just not sure whether this is related to the video driver or something else (networkHuh). /var/log/pm-suspend has this:

Quote:Running hook /usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/55NetworkManager suspend suspend:
Having NetworkManager put all interaces to sleep...Failed.

I have the following network card:
Quote:*-network
description: Ethernet interface
product: AR8151 v2.0 Gigabit Ethernet
vendor: Atheros Communications Inc.
physical id: 0
bus info: pci@0000:03:00.0
logical name: eth0
version: c0
serial: 10:78:d2:52:4d:1b
size: 1Gbit/s
capacity: 1Gbit/s
width: 64 bits
clock: 33MHz
capabilities: pm msi pciexpress vpd bus_master cap_list ethernet physical tp 10bt 10bt-fd 100bt 100bt-fd 1000bt-fd autonegotiation
configuration: autonegotiation=on broadcast=yes driver=atl1c driverversion=1.0.1.0-NAPI duplex=full firmware=N/A ip=192.168.3.105 latency=0 link=yes multicast=yes port=twisted pair speed=1Gbit/s
resources: irq:45 memory:f7d00000-f7d3ffff ioport:d000(size=128)

I've added the following to grub:
Quote:GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash usbcore.autosuspend=-1"

I thought this was helping cause I thought it was ethernet related (atl1c is my card above)...still does it
Quote:xbmc@xbmc:/etc/pm/config.d$ cat unload_modules
SUSPEND_MODULES="$SUSPEND_MODULES atl1c"

Then I thought it maybe a hankshaking issue with my Samsung 42" lcd but it also does it on my 32" Lg.

Really at a loss. It's hard to get Xorg.logs as I lose the screen and ethernet access.Or is it my mobo's implementation of acpi, perhaps something in the BIOS i could tweak?

Attempt at inspecting xbmc.log

And that's all I see in this log.?!
