I installed the ios app on my iphone and entered all the server info.

I then hit find XBMC and it doesn't succeed/ Says I need to enable Zeronconf.
But when I try to enable it, it says I need Apple's Bonjour?

Is this necessary. I'm trying to avoid installing iTunes etc on this particular computer.

I've enabled control via http and upnp on the network settings.

But I can't establish a connection.

Can't find any helpful documentation.

Hi again,

I installed bonjour. The iphone app can now discover the XBMC PC. But it still can't connect. I turned off the firewall, but that hasn't helped.

I notice that it is using the external ip address, not the internal one. Don't know if that's relevant.

Hello,
are you using XBMC v11 Eden? If yes, try to insert manually the internal ip. If still doesn't work, try to connect to xbmc from the iphone safari with the same information used in the app:

http://<username>:<password>@<xbmc_ip>:<xbmc_port>

and test if safari connects successfully.

No you dont need the apples bonjour, im not sure why it says it doesnt succeed thats weird.. i've actually never seen that. all i do know is you dont need apple bonjour, that system slows the computer down so much. experience? my website --> (link removed)
