That price includes a 1tb hdd but I think is still a bit too high. People were told by Marusys at Anga this month that the price would be €290 and this site is selling it for that: http://www.seh1.de/tv-empfaenger/receive...mcube-ruby

nice that it's there now Smile shame I don't see a source link on their website, and there's a bunch of modifications I can see in their screenshots that are interesting. it will also be interesting to see how they manage the DVB and DVR setup from within XBMC, so I'll be sending them a nice email requesting the source code + modifications pretty soon. and ask them to do a DVB-C version ;-)

xbmc-pvr [Eden-PVR builds] [now included in mainline XBMC, so no more source link here :)]

Found a problem with PVR? Report it on Trac, under "PVR - core components". Please attach the full debug log.

More power to you!

It would be abominable if they were to go down the DMM E2 path, a struggle DMM lost in the courts - to Marusys, of all the corporations....

So, it remains to be seen if Marusys have learnt their lesson from this victory of theirs or if somebody will have to teach them the same lesson all over again but this time they would be in the dock...

GigaBlue and other new Broadcom chipset powered STBs/MMCs (also Solo2 and Duo2, made by - you guessed it - Marusys, hehe!) are now in a position to use the XBMC4STB, since OpenGL 2.0 is now available even for Broadcom. This would also help a lot when porting XBMC4STB to STi platform and there are a few users who would really love to see this...

In short, from ARM to any platform in our little hobby, XBMC4STB should be out there, not copyrighted (drivers are a different thing altogether!) but an Open Source project that it essentially is!

Good luck on behalf of all of us!

Are there not any source code package or repository for that E2BMC (XBMC with Enigma2) project either? Or are they the same?

Quite impressive DVB/DVR setup and configuration in those E2BMC videos, looks very user-friendly to configure

Sounds as if they ported Enigma2 tools and configurations scripts for DVB/DVR into a OpenELEC based build as the platform?

Duckbox project has a open source XBMC port for SH4 SuperH CPU family STi series based set-top-boxes project that used Enigma2

http://gitorious.org/open-duckbox-projec...mmits/xbmc

Though that XBMC branch on the Duckbox project have not been active for a year one now, but the their master branch is still active

http://gitorious.org/open-duckbox-projec...its/master

Problem with most STi series SH4 CPU set-top-boxes is very slow CPU's and GPU's that only support OpenGL ES 1.1

https://github.com/Schischu/xbmc/tree/openglesv1
https://github.com/Schischu/xbmc/tree/add_sh4

Once "GUI Renderer abstraction and move to deferred rendering" is available in XBMC then there might still it at least a little hope that the XBMC devs could be willing to add a separate OpenGL ES 1.1 renderer (and SH4 SuperH RISC CPU support) to XBMC mainline, but probably only if someone else is willing to actively maintain it.

Hm, a question: will all that SC (they would send to one for a fee) be on the link mentioned (ready to be downloaded in the nearest future) or not?

If not, what would be the difference between the two packages?

If different, would that be in the spirit of GNU?

I guess a lot of people are sitting back waiting for some devs interested in the possibilities this may bring to let everyone know if the current prism code is useful to stb owners.
