I am having in issue running XBMC in portable mode.

What I have done...

• I created a shortcut to the new computer.
  
• Added the switch -p
  

When I click the link.....I get this error.

Unable to locate component

d3dx9_43.dll not found

I googled it and it seems to be common problem but no thread seemed to give a clear idea of how to fix it or where to download it and where to put it.

Any help is appreciated!

Install DirectX 9.0C 2010 June version, I think that should solve it.

Thanks that worked perfect.

I do have another issue. The skin and other is not showing up in portable on the new computer.

Any ideas?

You have to fill the folder and subfolder "portable data" in your directory with the neccesary data, for example

path_to\xbmc_12.0.alpha4\portable_data\userdata
for the file "advancedsettings.xml"
