Hey guys,

I currently have XBMC running on Debian Squeeze in my HTPC. It has a G540 and 8 GBs of ram. However, when i start xbmc CPU usage spikes to 100%. I assume its because I do not have an external graphic card. Do you guys have any suggestions on a graphic card that I could get today from microcenter? Space is an issue so preferably low profile. I wanted to pass by the store and pick one up today after work. Also, do you guys have any experience with a G540? What is CPU usage like while running xbmc?Thank you very much.

G540 iGPU should be able to handle XBMC. Did you do as following?

- Update Intel driver from here- Automatically identify and find drivers
- You might need to install Intel Management Engine Interface Driver]Intel Magagement Engine Interface Driver too.....
- Disable DXVA2 but select Software as Renderer Method, and disable everything else in XBMC settings/video/playback
- Disable "Use a fullscreen window rather than true fullscreen" in XBMC settings/system/video output
