Linux XBMCbuntu and A Web Browser Such As Firefox
#1
Hello,

I am sure this question has been asked before but I have been searching and I can not find an answer, so my apologies for posting what I'm sure has already been addressed here.

I installed XBMCbuntu which is working great. However, I would like to from time to time access a web browser so I can look up information or watch flash videos (such as youTube, XBMC, the daily show, hulu, etc). I know I can watch a lot of this through XBMC using the bluecop repository but in some cases I think a browser would be more efficient plus it doesn't address my problem of not being able to look up information using the internet.

Is it possible to install a web browser on my installation such as firefox with flash support and if so can this be accessed through XBMC?

I read that the advanced launcher should come with a way to use Chromium right out of the box, but that doesn't seem to be the case in my installation or I am not seeing it. I am using the latest version of XBMCbuntu, 11.0 eden.

Thank you in advance for any help with this issue

Thank you so much, that works great. However, my sound while in XBMCbuntu does not work (get nothing from YouTube for example). I am using HDMI as the sound output which works fine in XBMC. Where can I find the sound settings in the OS?

I get firefox to launch, but the window is not activiated, how do i activate it? The window opens on half of the screen but I don't know how to activate it to start using it, probably it's something easy...
