I'm sure this subject has been brought up in the past, but I was unable to find any information regarding it. So, I'm planning to get a DLP projector and 136-150" Cinemascope screen. My question is this...is it possible within XMBC settings to get the PJ to rescale a image to a 2.35 screen to elminate black bars?
My Setup:
CPU: A6-3500
MB: ASRock A75M-ITX
RAM: Samsung 2x2GB DDR3-1600
SSD: Crucial M4 64GB
CASE: Realan E-I5

wow this post is old but yes the frodo version of XBMC has 2 settings that will get 16:9 content to be stretched to 2:35.1 without any notice of stretching. go to the osd settings then to video and play with the pixel ratio and the zoom in conjunction. there is a happy medium write it down and do the same next time you launch that format. but you have to write it down for 1:78, 1:85, so on and so forth.
