I just donwloaded xbmc and installed it on my windows desktop. If I run xbmc now it just appears with its logo in a full blck screen. I waited for over 15 mins but nothign. if I press escape or space bar or enter the black screen with the logo disappears. Then I have to start xbmc again and again wait but nothing happens anyway.

• What is your hardware configuration? System make/model (if purchased) or motherboard make/model (if built); if using add-on graphics card, its make/model
  
• Which version of Windows?
  
• Which version of XBMC?
  

Try the following:

• Using a text editor, create an advancedsettings.xml file in your userdata (wiki) directory with the following contents and save the file:

  <loglevel>1</loglevel>
</advancedsettings>
• Launch XBMC and wait a few minutes
  
• Press one of the keys you mentioned above to exit the XBMC logo screen
  
• Locate your debug log (wiki) (xbmc.log) on your hard disk and upload it to www.xbmclogs.com
  
• Post the URL link for your uploaded log here with your reply
