How should i configure the following:

I have an rpi hooked up to a projector, its not used that often but would be used for Movies and sometimes music.

spiff got me going in the right direction and now i can turn my projector on and off using xbmc (i dont ir remotes).

Given the web interface doesn't allow you to access the programs menu or favourites i won't be able to turn the projector on with the pi as planned because i won't be able to see the screen....sigh.

a) I could make the projector turn on with the pi booted up but maybe i'm only listening to music and don't need the projector.

b) create some web based event separate from the xbmc remote app.

c) get a learning remote

d) something else?

So how should i do it and suggestions?

Just not sure which way to go with this one.
