Hi.
I have a problem...
My setup is an atv2, accessing files from my server via apples file sharing protocol.
If i choose "Videos" from main screen and then "files" I can see the movie files in the moviefolder (eg. some_title.mkv)
but if I choose "Movies" from main screen and then select a movie it tries to play the file in the folder instead.
This procedure is ok but it tries to play the wrong file it seems.
If I choose "get info" on the movie I can see that the file its trying to play is not the mkv but instead a video_ts.ifo file and it fails every time.
Why is there a difference in the way of playing files... (from Videos vs Movies)?
And what is a "video_ts.ifo" file? Its not a real file in my folder...

Mainly we need debugging turned on (Settings -> System -> Debugging) and the full log via a paste site like pastebin.

No offense, but it says it very clearly in the link that we've given you twice now:
Quote:Use a pastesite such as http://xbmclogs.com , http://pastebin.com , or http://pastebin.ca on when posting on the forums. Simply visit one of these sites, paste or upload your log and hit submit. After a few seconds you'll have a nice short URL to paste in your post.

For some reason it works when i switched to nfs instead of afp.
Problem not solved but not relevant for me anymore.

I've got the exact same problem with AFP. Switched to NFS also. But I'd like to know why all of a sudden AFP stopped working. I can update the mediatheque, the film info.... but as soon as I try to view a film, it tries to load a DVD ISO file which doesn't exist.

This issue still exists and it's actually kind of a big problem in Frodo. Frodo often struggles playback video smoothly over WiFi, as many have mentioned. However yesterday I re-created my mysql library using AFP. While videos take longer to load, they play smoothly with no stuttering. Maybe it just uses a larger buffer. Maybe NFS transfers fast bursts and slow dips, screwing up XBMC's auto buffer size logic, while AFP shows a more consistent throughput. All I know is that AFP works well. Then I went back to NFS and back to AFP again to confirm my finding.
This would be welcome news if not for the problem mentioned in this thread. The TV library works fine but it seems to think all movies are a VIDEO_TS.ifo file even if its an mkv or avi. This has to be some stupid simple piece of errant code that has nothing to do with Netatalk or whatever XBMC uses for AFP, right? It's not like my server fabricating non-existent .ifo files.
I should also mention something else strange that may be related. If I add videos and browse to find the folder, I cannot select "NFS" in the menu. I first have to go through the Zeroconf browser. In case it wasn't obvious, I have a Mac server (10.8.3) and I just use OSX's built in NFS capabilites.
