Win Minimum Spec PC for 1080p 3D ISO Playback - Will This Work!?
#1
I am considering a change to a Windows set up from Openelec in order to achieve 3D ISO playback with all the HD Audio Formats too.

This is the PC I have built:

Motherboard - Asus P8H61 B3 Revision H61 Socket 1155 8 Channel Audio ATX
Processor - Intel Pentium G630 2.70GHz Socket 1155 3MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed
Graphics Card - Gigabyte GT 430 OC 1GB DDR3 DVI VGA HDMI Out PCI-E
RAM - Corsair 4GB DDR3 1333MHz Memory Module CL9(9-9-9-24) 1.5V Unbuffered Non-ECC

If I follow this guide, will it work?

Thanks in advance.

Great, and to be sure. Which version of Windows 7 should I install? Ultimate? 32bit or 64bit?

Go with x64. And Home is fine, you won't need Ultimate (or Pro).

Thanks. Can I assume that using Ultimate (which I have already) want cause any issues in itself?

If you have Ultimate already, then go for it, but I was just thinking if you were going to buy a copy of Windows then Home would save a bit of money =].

Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate is the beast...

In addition, the 64-bit Windows 7 supports more physical RAM than 32-bit Windows 7 too...

For me, this is all I can afford- Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Full - Branded....it takes a little more works to install and updates it, but it works as good as OEM....
