Hi,

So i have used the ac ryan playon HD2 for months, i pretty much got fed up by the clunky system.
And i wanted more functions on a media machine!

Now i am running a HTPC with i5 750 , ati 6950 and 8 gig ram on windows 7 64 (legal with updates)
I hook this up with a HDMI cable to my 55 inch TV thats 3 years old.

And run obv xbmc , now when i play vids doesnt really matter much what kind it is.
A Remub BR or BR iso or 720p vid.

It doesn't seem as fluent on my HTPC as on my Media player like it lacks FPS :/

My HTPC is more than powerfull enough , but it has something to do with hardware not suitable for media playback?
What has my Media player what my HTPC doesn't ?

I cant be the only one

If you haven't done as below, you might have to configure it.........

-Uninstall Realtek in Windows 7 control panel/programs/programs and features
-Update AMD latest driver from here- AMD Driver Autodetect
-Enable DXVA2 and select Software as Render method and disable everything else in XBMC system/settings/video/playback
-Disable "Use fullscreen window rather than true fullscreen" in XBMC system/settings/system/video output
-Select AMD HDMI audio output in control panel sound/playback
-Select HDMI audio output, un-check all the capable receiver options and select DirectSound: AMD HDMI output (AMD high definition....) in XBMC system/settings/system/audio output

ive installed the latest drivers just now, sooooo dumb i did a clean install and forgot to instal GPU driver....
What purpose does uninstalling realtek drivers? prevent conflicts ?

These are both detrimental to smooth playback!

If your hardware supports accelerated playback use it (not software). And true fullscreen is better than windowed mode!

I also got a small scraper problem...
Movie works great but tv shows doesnt for me.

If its one season no problem but south park has 16 seasons

Its the same file i just renamed it, so odd i can only add season 1 of south park...
