Apologies in advance if this is a typical newbie question which has already been answered. I've been using Mezzmo which is great for network streaming but not easy for the internet. I hear XMBC can stream across the internet easily. I've installed it but cant see how to stream my movies remotely. I had a look at th FAQ but these go on about SMB. What I was hoping for was to be able to HTTP to my server and stream the movies either over the LAN or internet. How can I do this?

I've successfully added my library and can play locally?

Again, apologies if my searching on the forum is pathetic.

Somebody lied to you. XBMC isn't meant to be a server. There are some features planned for the future that will do this, but that won't be out for a while.
