On the dailymotion web site, there is 1 only input for request (chanel / video / etc ...)

so i think you have to use the "search" button and typing the exact channel name.

unless someone can code a new search function

This is still having playback issues on krypton release version where the video will play for 10 seconds then freeze then stutter and freeze constantly.
This has been reported earlier in other threads and no fix has yet been released.

I'm using Kodi Kryton also on all of my Kodi devices (Windows, Android phones and tablets and 3 Raspberry Pi 2's) and am having the same issue

Yeah... i'm here for same problems and same question:
I don't have this addon installer but i have an addons using also dailymotion video for provide interesting contents and yeah i an also add my feedback here:
On my Pi2 i have latest OSMC setup (based on kodi 17.1-RC1) and it's impossible to see a video in every quality (instead at same time whit my italian adsl i can play whitout any problems every youtube video also at 1080p)...... the reproduction it's start but immediatelly after about 5/10 seconds all goes in struttering and the reproduction start to skip seconds.

Sometime, but very very very very rarely, i have also same problems whit youtube video but as I already said each video hosted on dailymotion is practically unwatchable.....

I thinks the only problems it's the BAD "cached" support on recent krypton release....... it's not important if you stay to use addons or not infact before osmc it's be upgraded to krypton the situation it's little better than now. We can only hope on next future support when i hope kodi can be back to support or in some mode make a better support for caching video......

Ah... it's obviously meanwhile... that's all suggest internet about unlikely adavances setting and/or miraculous fix it's only a FAKE.....

I updated to 17.1 because they claim it is "STABLE", what a joke, dailymotion is now unusable,
As others have reported, starts of fine then after 5-10 seconds it stops working, no video is watchable.
I hope this addon can be fixed, like the youtube one they are the best for streaming content at high quality.
For a media player kodi is getting worse not better at caching streaming content which is why everyone i know has gone back to 16.1.

Go to the link posted just above in thread #248. Lore has updated the app but still don't work properly. They have a repo which contains a dev version which works fine.
