i am using eden on win 7 right now but with all the new features being added to frodo i was thinking of upgrading and using the latest alpha 6 snapshot how stable is it and should i upgrade or wait until official version is released whenever that may be

The very fact that they're alpha builds means they are not stable.

Unless you're willing to put up with numerous errors, you're probably better off waiting for at least Beta 1 of Frodo.

It's hard to say, because what changes sometimes will only affect a feature within the skin and not the entire skin. In any case, pretty soon we'll have a "Frodo/v12" specific repository for add-ons, where the only add-ons listed there will be ones that should work with v12 Frodo.

Alpha 6 has been stable for me using Aeon Nox 3.6
I'm not an expert but I play one at work.

nightly from 20121016 with Confluence has been pretty stable for me. has the latest AudioEngine and scraper fixes.
