my question:
On Oct, 26 2012 Windows 8 will be released. Did XBMC 11 full support Windows 8?

I have been running XBMC 11 on Win 8 Release Preview with no issues so far (both "regular" mode and portable mode). I know that RTM version has removed the Aero look from the desktop, but don't see why that would affect XBMC at all.

Afaik only one win dev has win8 on his laptop and I'm not sure if he tested it. So probably it'll run as a few users report but nothing we actively test as I won't switch to win8 soon.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

I have been running W8 since August 15 (Technet) and there are no issues with XBMC. There may be other issues with video/audio drivers, but those will affects other programs too. W8 behaves quite nicely with XBMC. Smile

There are some wonderful "remotes" in development too and 3 of them are already available @ Windows Store.
