Smart Playlist Empty (Movies are in separate folders)
#1
I created a smart playlist:

Type: Movies
Name of of the playlist: HD Movies
Find items where:
Path is X:\HD Movies\
Path is Y:\HD Movies 2\
Path is Z:\HD Movies 3\
Playlist options: one or more of the rules
Limit to: No limit

Nothing shows up though, it's empty. I think it might have to do with the movies being in their own separate folders. I got it to work once before but I don't know how I did it.

Are your X, Y and Z drives local or on a file server? If it's the latter, is the server up and accessible to your XBMC system when you launch your playlist?

First of all, you should use "Path starts with", not "Path is". Alternatively you could use a single "Path contains HD Movies" rule instead of the 3 rules you have now.

A better solution though is to filter on resolution with a rule which says "Video resolution greater than 1280x720" (for just Full-HD) or "Video resolution is greater than 720x576" (for content with a resolution higher than that of a DVD) so you don't have to update the rule anytime you add more paths.

Edit: Changed the 1920x1080 rule in case of anamorphic Full-HD material with a wider than 16:9 AR.

also if you have three rules choose the option that they must match one of the rules and not all
