Newegg Shellshocker Deal for unRAID?
#1
Seems like it could be good for those looking to build an unRAID server. I'm thinking about it for my brother in law.

What do people think of the motherboard?

TV: VIZIO E-Series 43”
HTPC: Raspberry Pi 3

Well, with 6 SATA ports,...that passes my test!
I would not buy any MOBO for an unRaid system that has less than 6 ports.
and I should add,..the case also looks suitable for the many HDDs you'll need for an unRaid box.
It's just too bad that you can't opt out of the AVG anti-virus,..that would save another $30

Looks good.

Prolly very close to the Asus M4A78L-M (same SB & NB), which is discussed here:

Newegg has been doing this bundling lately with AVG that makes it look like a better deal than it is. The bundle claims that it saves $59.96 but $29.99 of that is AVG so it's really $30. Then you're stuck with that generic 350W power supply that's not even 80+. I think you can do better.

Sorry I do not like the case.... it would be better building your own.... airflow in that case does not look good.
