Simple NAS Recomendations?
#1
Can anyone recommend a NAS that is fairly inexpensive and simply to setup?

The WD Live Book seems to fit the bill, but the reviews on Amazon aren't very good.

Anyone have one and like it? Other brands / solutions I should look at?

1 - 2 TB is fine.

How many disks you want to manage with the NAS?
How much do you want to spend?

This ones are great:

I have one World Book Live 1TB (white one) as video nas and it works well streaming videos to PS3.
I have another one in my office which is gathering images from 3 different surveillance cameras (3 cameras I think it's the max it can bear).
I have a new World Book Live (black) which is storing images from a warehouse surveillance camera.

AFAIK, they do their job. Smile

I have been using the Qnap NAS for sometime for both private and business options and all I can say is WOW they work, have not yet found a way not to connect to them from multiple environments Linux/Unix, Mac and Windows and have for me the best feature list of any NAS out there, highly recommended
