For media playback these E350 mobo's are ok but they do struggle with some of the more feature rich XBMC skins.

I run an E350 based system with the Aeon Nox skin without any real issues. When playing videos in the background and interacting with the skin it can make the background video a bit stuttery, but 'normal' video control interaction is smooth as silk.
