Hi all,

Upgraded to Frodo and most movies are now very jerky, here is the log:

My guess is your ATV2 is struggling with down mixing the 6 channel audio to 2 channel stereo.. Maybe you could give it a try with passthrough enabled?

I have similar behaviour. After I have started XBMC playback is jerky but I can fix that by restarting XBMC.

Check both ac3 and dts. You won't get any sound (If your tv or receiver can't handle 5.1) but it might help the jerkiness

i have the audio settings, but can't change the output device - the only option is Default

Are you trying to change the output device or activate passthrough?
Activating passthrough by taking the settings Memphiz described
does not depend on changing the output device.
