[Windows] Eden--Specify userdata folder from command line
#1
Is there a way to start xbms and point it at a specific userdata folder? When my machine comes out of hibernation it messes with xbmc and quitting and restarting fixes it so I'm just restarting it after hibernation. Unfortunately when I do this via Power Triggers it is using a different userdata directory. Can I specify this directory in the command line somehow?

Don't know the answer to the question as asked but you could try running in portable mode so the userdata is contained in the xbmc install directory.

No you can't.
Only by using multiple portable installs

What about portable mode? How do I do that and where is the directory for it?

When I attempt to do that I get this error:

CApplication::Create() failed - check log file and that it is writable.

I think that means the XBMC process is still running, bring up task manager and make sure XBMC isn't still hanging around.
