If you want to have a spare/backup laptop on hand then I don't see why not.

If you're not going to be using the local storage (not to mention the screen, keyboard/touchpad, optical, etc) and have wired Ethernet, this mobo/apu/memory combo along with a Case/PSU and USB stick could get you there for just a bit more than 1/3 the price.
