PogoPlug for $13 http://www.buy.com/prod/pogoplug-multime...55865.html

This is $7 cheaper than what you can normally get for the cheapest PogoPlug (both black and pink versions, which are more or less the same spec wise, can be had for $20 at any point in the year). The included software is pretty crappy, but what makes the PogoPlug awesome is that you can install Arch Linux ARM on it ( http://archlinuxarm.org ). You can use it not only as a USB NAS device, but also as a MySQL server, Tvheadend server (just add USB TV tuner, and you have your entire PVR backend right there using low power), AirPrint server (for iOS direct printing. Not really HTPC related, but a neat extra), normal print sharing, UPnP/SMB/NFS server, and more. Gigabit ethernet.

Referb 4th gen iPod touch for $130: http://store.apple.com/us/product/FC540L...S-AFF-FEED

Since it's an A4 iOS device, it's easier than normal to jailbreak (even with future iOS updates) and get a full version of XBMC up and running on it (see iOS FAQ (wiki)). You can even use the Apple HDMI adapter to enable 720 video output, using the screen as a remote control (also works with other network/web/smartphone remotes). Obviously also works as an XBMC remote as well using the official XBMC remote (wiki). These are the same specs as an Apple TV 2, but with a lot more functionality, and one of the few portable/PMP ARM powered devices that runs XBMC with h.264 hardware video decoding (other codecs are software decoded, so no HD for non h.264 videos).

Same specs and screen resolution (Apple's "Retina" display) as an iPhone 4, which I've used to watch a lot of things via XBMC, and it works very well.

If you're looking for a cheap XBMC box, the Pivos is a much better value and does hardware decoding for more formats. Unfortunately, the $80 sale on the Pivos is over.

How is this device compared to something like an A6-Pack?

I don't need BlurRay really but the price is nice.

Not sure about the A6-pack HTPCs, but I've heard very good things about the Zotac Zbox. If I didn't already have enough devices for XBMC, I would have picked it up because of that deal. It's over now, but maybe they'll do something again for Cyber Monday. EDIT: I read that wrong. The deal is still good.

Someone in this thread was bemoaning the lack of affordable ITX cases.

Well, if you are lucky enough to live near a Fry's you can get this for about forty bucks, including 300W power supply:

I don't even think that is a BlackFriday/CyberMonday deal. I think that is just their regular price for this case.

NewEgg: $80 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6815645003)

Yep... came here to say this.

$80.49 for a silent XBMC? Shipped free in the USA?

I'm in.

I spent part of the weekend trying to revive an old XBOX with XBMC, and now have been reminded of the wonderful memory limitations of that old box. 80.00 is well worth it.

Whoops, woke up later today than I thought I would. Most of the good sales deals that I see are already expired, like that wireless logitech keyboard went down to $20 for a while on meritline.com.
