Ugh remotes!

Hi all. So I use to run XBMC on my xbox waaay back in the day. I'm putting together an HTPC and I'm interested in once again getting back to XBMC. I'm putting together my build now and I'm just struggling hard with remotes. Basically, the remote ONLY needs to control XBMC (movies, music, netflix) as well as putting the PC to sleep and awake, etc. I have no interest in controlling the TV, audio receiver, cable box, etc. etc. with this remote. I've been eyeing up the Rosewill RHRC-11001 because of the great price http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6880101007 Will this remote work and is it a good option for the price?

Also, if you'd like to critique my build here it is Big Grin http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Public...r=20945712

Thanks!

It's an RC6 (eHome) remote and for $14 you can't really go wrong. I currently have their lesser version (without learning) and have no problems with XBMC or WMC and putting it to sleep either.

Thanks! What's the difference between the 11001 and the 11002? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6880101008 I'll gladly spend $6 extra for the 11002 if it's worth it!

The 11002 has a much smaller iR receiver. If there's no difference in reception quality or distance then I guess the smaller one is better/less obtrusive?
