Automated subtitle downloads?
#1
In Windows I'd like to schedule a program once a day to scan my movies and TV-shows for .srt files and when not found, search for them on Bierdopje, Podnapisi and Opensubtitles and download them.

Can anyone guide me to a program which does this that actually works?

You could try this:

or you could download this to auto open the xbmc subtitles script if no subs are found:

auto-sub forces you to download dutch subtitles. I only want English.

I can't use the script as I have several shows in my native language without subtitles and don't want it to auto open when watching these.

Any other ideas?

I downloaded Auto-Sub and when you click the Auto-Sub.exe there's a setting menu in browser and theres a setting to download only english subtitles by default! Maybe this works? Could you try that and report how it works in xbmc, I'm very interested to use an automatic subtitle addon myself Blush

I have version 0.5.6 and there is no such setting. It's even listed as an issue: http://code.google.com/p/auto-sub/issues/detail?id=98 where they try some semi-workarounds of deleting the files and renaming the English to the Dutch name and so on, but this is just silly in my opinion.
