damn I wish i would have seen this before they sold out, thats like the good old days of cheap HDDs before the big flood

For $10 more you can get the same drive in a USB 3 enclosure. Just take the drive out and it should be good to go:

According to this
Amazon review it's the same drive that Seagate sells in the raw (Barracuda 7200.14 series: SATA 6Gb/s, 64MB cache, 4KB sectors)

nice I might have to jump on that, the fact that its a usb 3 enclosure makes it kind of handy to have anyway

I do not use unRAID as a server, but have been running their preclear script off of an Ubuntu LiveCD...it seems to burn the drives in well.
