It is very surprising for me, because I think that Node 605 is very quiet thanks to dampening material on top cover. Quiet case is one of my top requirements for cases and by this review is old Silverstone GD 04 much better variant for me although I prefer design of Node 605...

Do you think, that this review is credible enough, because I still cannot believe that case with dampening on top cover (Fractal Design Node 605) has worst results than simple case (Silverstone GD 04)...

I just built an HTPC for my parents using the Fractal Design case. Looks great and fits well with other home theater equipment. Altho I would recommend it if u plan to house multiple hard drives in it (the one I built has 3 in it (2 x 3tb + 120gb ssd).

Silverstone GD04 is good case to work with if you're planning on going without a DVD drive. There is so little space inside the case for an aftermarket CPU cooler and a DVD drive with the way the bracket is mounted. Some folks have moded the case to allow for more room for CPU coolers but I'm not sure the effort is really worth it. I wish Silverstone would design a Grandia with a vertically mounted slim dvd along one edge.

I'm quite happy with the case as my main gaming PC and had fun putting it together.
