I have recently received my raspberry pi and installed xbmc onto it. When I choose to shut down the xbmx it is switching my TV off; any ideas how I can stop this from happening?

I believe it has to do with the CEC peripheral ( control xbmc with you TV remote),
Just disable it In the input devices setting.
