Hi XBMC,

I have just started my wonderful xbmc journey
I have spend most of the day installing it with sickbeard and sabnzb and i have come across some things i need help with:

-Everytime xbmc boots there is this message 'remote communication server failed to start'
-When i am configuring notification within sickbeard i cannot get the connection test to work
-2 of the internal hard drives keep swapping location within the media folder.

Can anyone help with the above?

I think the above two issues are releated. Sounds like you have a port conflict, most likely with sabnzb since I've read they use the same port. Try changing the port that sanzba uses to something other than 9090 (no idea how that's done...you'll have to google it) or you can try changing the port that the communication server uses, as described here: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=JSON-RPC_API#TCP

Not sure about the other issue. You didn't really provide much info to go on.

- Open http://%hostname%:9090 , navigate to the sabnzbd preferences and change the port to something like 8082 or anything not used.
- Restart the sabnzbd service
- restart xbmc

Just to make sure: If you installed XBMC Frodo, you will not be able to get Sickbeard to communicate with xbmc without jumping through some hoops (the eventserver has been changed from http to JSON and Sickbeard devs haven't pulled the change into the main branch yet)
