Support please,
After a fresh install of Xbmcbuntu on (Zotac AD10, AMD E450 and Radeon HD 6320) all worked well.
Good HDMI Audio output / performance in XBMC
&
HDMI Audio performance was good when playing web-browser YouTube in Lubuntu. (XBMC shutdown)
I went into the 'Audio Mixer' add-on in XBMC. Found it blank and when I exited I had no Audio.
on a suggestion I deleted .asoundrc in the /Home/user/ directly.
Now the audio works well in XBMC.
But no audio when I play YouTube videos in Lubuntu.
So with another suggestion, I added this asound.conf file to /etc/
pcm.!default {
type plug slave.pcm {
type hw card 0 device 3
}
}
Now Audio in Lubuntu work Good. BUT, again No Audio in XBMC.
I understand that asound.conf is global and might superseded other user audio settings.
I've tried renaming .asoundrc in /Home/user/ But no luck
Going in circle....
OK, so one last iteration, I tried to configure XBMC Audio Settings 'menu'. By setting the Audio Output Device to 'Custom' and using the HDMI card and device ( found using aplay -l ) used in asound.conf,
hw:0,3
But again no HDMI audio output...so I tried one more step...
I set the Audio Output Device to the Analog, hw:1,1 and XBMC audio was OK on analog output...but not on HDMI audio, of course.
Sorry for rambling, I'm just tire & confused.
Suggestion and support greatly appreciated.
