anybody had before this issue where every 5 minutes or so the TV goes pink?
its a sony TV, the XBMC box is a acer revo RT with openelec on.
Never had this before on any other setup, this is only happening on a Sony TV.
Contacted Sony and they say I need to change the hdmi settings?
Anyone had any luck fixing similar?

I don't quite have the same problem, but I do have something similar. If I power on my TV before my HTPC, then my screen will be pink. I have to switch the input on my TV from HDMI (XBMC is connected via HDMI) to something else and then back to HDMI. That clears up the issue for me and it doesn't happen again while my HTPC is powered on. I've never dug into why it happens or how to fix it permanently as 1) I learned to power on my HTPC first and 2) I assumed it was just my cheap TV (I don't have a Sony).

there's a conf file you can edit, I think. I've seen it happen on linux on ATV1s. I can't for the life of me remember what (and I'm falling asleep...).
I'll move this to the linux forum and see if anyone there knows.

I had a similar issue with a Revo 3700 connecting to my Samsung TV, albeit via an AV amp. It turned out the HDMI cable was dodgy... replacing it and it now works fine.
