XBMC subtitles

the response is always teh same for these silly streaming addons, they do not provide necessary information about the movie being played. we dont know what movie is being played if file is called "asdfghjklkjhgfdsdfgh.mkv", addon needs to fill in the xbmc info tags and XBMC subtitles will find the subs using that

That's not the problem as you read this thread more carefully.

Read this thread more carefully.............and don't think you are the king of subtitles although I apreciate the work.

You are not getting help in anyway like this. So good luck with Eden

I know..............but it's going both way's guy's.......I already know that this is not the place to getting honest answers anyway because the answers/tips that are giving are not about the question

The only thing I think to know is that the subtitle addon should be updated to Frodo the right way

subtitle addon works with Frodo, better that eden one... you have PEBKAC.

lets analyze the issue shell we?

you click the subtitle button and the addon is not running? based on your attitude i don't believe you but the log would have shown us if you are calling the correct addon, or if the skin button is not mapped correctly to a correct addon ID, or if it is mapped at all.

but since you know better, have a great time trying to get it to work...

If I look at the logifile I see that only with 1channel xbmc is not playing any file.
Tthat 's why we are not getting any popup.

Would still recommend you put debug log in Pastebin so others can take a look. I had an issue in other thread, and Amet immediately saw the problem because I had log up there and was able to tell me how to resolve my issue.

I can confirm this bug and made a debug log on Android: http://pastebin.com/v2LsZiy3

This is on Android (Galaxy note 10.1) and you can see a lot of exceptions in the log, XBMC thinks it's not playing anything Sad
I tried to open subtitles around 6 times, but "nothing happens when you press the button" as the original post implies.

The actual problem starts around
Code:
19:20:26 T:1671575872   DEBUG: 1Channel: Inside Player. Tracker time = 0.0010000000475
...
19:20:34 T:1093420520   DEBUG:  : Translating XBMC.RunScript($INFO[Skin.String(SubtitleScript_Path)])
19:20:34 T:1093420520   DEBUG:  : To XBMC.RunScript(script.xbmc.subtitles)
19:20:34 T:1093420520    INFO: initializing python engine.
19:20:34 T:1093420520   DEBUG: new python thread created. id=11
19:20:34 T:1634959304   DEBUG: Python thread: start processing
19:20:34 T:1093420520   DEBUG: Unfocus WindowID: 12901, ControlID: 250
..
Anyway, the subtiles screen never appears.. Sad (more detail in pastebin.)

Also, a suggestion, make the debug path adjustable please. On windows people can easy get the logfiles, on Android, /data/data is root only. Not everyone roots, and it's not easy to get the log files for average joe the enduser Wink

if xbmc says its not playing a file, nothing we can do about it. you have to talk to XBMC Android developers about that
