Is there a way to identify if my remote receiver is an rc6 type? I'm using it with a Harmony one, I eventually managed to get it working by manually copying (ir to ir) from my old harmony remote as the recommended ways did not work. it originally came as part of a Cybe link package.
It is not working well hence I want to go the recommended route.

Ive got two rc6 receivers. When i set my logitech to mce microsoft remote it works with both. If your harmony did not work this way its probably not rc6.

Under device manager of your computer you should see eHome Device Driver if the remote receiver is RC6.

Thanks I dont see that anywhere in device manager so i've ordered one of these:
