WIthout a doubt I'm doing something wrong, but I haven't got a clue. Without even more doubts the solution is somewhere on this forum, but I probably overlooked it...

Here's my problem:

- got a PC running Windows XP
- got 2 users: admin and XBMC
- XBMC user has limited rights

When logging in as admin I can change the XBMC skin, but when I log in as user XBMC I cannot change the skin. This might be somehow network related, as I can't see the skin previews either.

I've raised the rights of the user XBMC to administrative, but that doesn't change a thing. I'm getting quite confused now. Anyone who knows where I have to look to fix this?

Did you install XBMC while you were logged in as Administrator?

Each user will have a different userdata folder most likely.

Yes.

When setting up this box, I arranged everything whilst using an admin account. Then I set up an additonal user with limited rights.
