Athlon ii x4 overkill for unraid system?

I have an Athlon ii x4 laying around and wondering if unraid would need such a processor. I'm sure it is probably overkill, but what are the things I could do with this in contrast to a lower power processor?

Probably a better question for the UNRaid folks. I have a quad core in my file server (Win7 w/ FlexRAID) but I also run MySQL, Murmur, MediaPortal TV-Server, SAB, CP, SB, and a few other things. I'm not sure how much of that you can do on an UNRaid box.

Software RAID does a number on a CPU. I was running a MDADM RAID 5 configuration on an Athlon II X2 and could give that CPU a run for it's money.

If you run unRaid with no addons, then yes that will be over kill. The only real reason to use that processor is if you wanted to have the unRaid server do on-the-fly transcoding to devices. If you already have it lying around I see no reason not to use it.
