Permission issue with shared thumbnail location using NFS
#1
Hi all, I'm using a shared Thumnail location on my QNAP using NFS but newly added thumbnails get permissions set to 600 by owner UNIX User 65535, due to which the thumbnails (and fanart and such) cannot be accessed by my ATV2 (and therefore not showed in XBMC). Manually updating the permissions does make the thumbnails and fanart visible on the ATV2. So how I can set it up so that the files get the proper permissions?

Read the nfs wiki entry (link in my signature) and map all accesses to a userid you want.

I followed the instructions but still get files with permission 600. Anything else I could try?

Set anonuid=65535 in your exports.
