This is what I am trying to accomplish:
What would be the best way to stream an HD signal from a direcTV receiver to any client computer that wants to connect to the stream?
I assume I would need the following?
Computer with XBMC
Compatible HD Capture/Tuner Card
HD Receiver
Clients with Software Capable of Connecting to the Stream (VLC?)
Has anyone done this before? I understand we would all have to watch the same thing, but that is what we want anyway. We all have dual monitors and the network infrastructure is already in place, so anyone with a pc and network access would be able to view this stream.
Can XBMC do all of this? What would be the best way to go about this?
