Anyone else finding it a bit slow to respond to commands from within the gui ?
Any database access either Music or Movies is quite a bit slower for me and I just updated everything to gigabit.

Nope. Are you sure your system isn't at fault? Might be worth checking the logs, check your disk health (smartmontools). Just a suggestion.

If you really think it's an XBMC issue, tail -f your .xbmc/temp/xbmc.log, then try accessing again.
