I'm using an Inteset CIR receiver to remote control my HTPC. This piece of hardware is right now just flying around outside my HTPC case, as I just don't know how to integrate it.
Problem: I could drill a hole into the case, but before I do that I'd like to know if I will get satisfying results if the IR sensor is shifted back into the case. And I'd like to keep the hole as small as possible. Usually, collimator lenses are recommended for integrating IR sensors into cases, but I don't know which technical data I have to look at. Ideally, I would take something like that (German web site): http://www.reichelt.de/Lasertechnik/LAS-...OFFSET=16&, but there are different optical specifications for that lens. Which should I take?
