Sorry to ask, but why?

There are huge upgrade issues.
and the large complaints in regards to the user interface have everyone scratching their head and wondering,..."What were they thinking".

Win8 is NOT meant as a workstation OS, and forget about companies adopting this OS.
And don't get fooled by the argument, "Well,...Windows8 starts up so much faster than Windows7."
Who cares? What's a few seconds really...

MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 FM2.....

This MTD is not Mini ATX
There is no Mini-ATX......you haven't mention a case....you should look for the case first, then you can look for a mobo....the choice of case will dictate the type of mobo to go in it...

If you want to reply with quote, I'm suggesting to leave your reply outside the quote.....I wouldn't recommend installing the A8 in that case....it'll be cooked in there.....if you want a mini-itx A8-5500 HTPC, this case might be a better choice- SilverStone Sugo Series SG06B.....

I used to have the MI-008 with the very low power E350M1 board with 120mm case fan in it. It never give me any trouble, but it was running very hot. To me, the design of the case is restricting the ari flow with the hard drive bracket and PSU right on top of the mobo and CPU. You might be having a hard time installing the bigger CPU in there too....

Having built them, with the MSI mini-ITX motherboard and A10-5700 I've seen the best idle power usage and temperatures I've seen with any mini-ITX build outside of Atom. This was using the stock cooler too. I think a non-K A8 or A10 with the 120mm fan mounted on the side would work well in the Apex MI-008. It's quite surprising given my opposite experience with the A6-5400K and ASRock FM2A75M-ITX.
